Leveling
What is leveling?
Children need to read books that they can both read the words and understand the meaning. Teachers call this book "just right," or a book that is at the child's instructional level. This book will challenge the reader just a bit to enable continued growth as a reader , but not so much that they become frustrated.
Teachers and tests will give you a specific letter or number representing your child's reading level. Because each rating system is different, we have compiled a selection of books by reading level available from Usborne Books & More.
